digital watercolor painting tryouts

actually, dah lama dah nak try digital art nie. selalu browse dalam deviantart etc etc. sungguh superb! but selalu tak berkesempatan nak try sebab bila carik tutorial, baca, most of it cakap kena ada graphic tablet, which i assumed, "kalau nak buat digital art, must have graphic tablet". anyway, itu hari tengok facebook kukubesi, dia buat digital watercolor painting sangat lawa. mula-mula ingat mesti dia pakai graphic tablet jugak but then baca balik semua komen kat album watercolor tu sekali tengok dia cakap 100% guna photoshop. wah! bersemangat dengar! hari tu jugak terus carik tutorial pasal watercolor painting kat google. hehe tapi susah jugak nak carik tutorial yang bagus sebab banyak result daripada tutorial tu tak berapa nak menarik sangat. some even pakai filter watercolor jer kat photoshop tu. tak puas hati, terus jugak menggoogle. then, terjumpalah satu tutorial nie. memang superbla. tapi dia guna gambar scenery, aku terus try guna model. gambar first aku buat gambar hayden panettiere amik kt skin.be. aku suka website tu sebab boleh dapat high-res gambar-gambar penyanyi/pelakon yang aku minat haha. lepas tu, try pulak carik stock images dekat deviantart. tapi susah gak sebab mostly owner nak gambar dorang digunakan dalam deviantart sahaja. terpaksala mintak kebenaran guna outside dA. penat gak buat benda nie (painting), lebih-lebih lagi bila mouse tak berapa nak memberi kerjasama. dahtu seharian depan laptop. dahtu pulak kena banyak sabar buat kalau nak output yang best. makan berjam-jam jugakla buat benda alah nie but seronok. ngehehe

how to cheer yourself up

playing with light last night was fun and tiring as well..i hate darkness tbh, everytime i finished with the doodle-ing the air, i quickly run outside the (dark) room because i'm a scared-pants..haha all the shots didn't come out good, as i only learn it few mins before shooting..teehee but, oh well, will try to shoot more soon ;) you should try, it is extremely fun!

ini jer yang sempat aku edit tadi. so, comments and critics are very much appreciated. anyway, gambar2 tidak diwatermark (or whatever it is you called it). sila2lah credit jika digunakan. kalau tak, sebaik saja korang save kan work ini dan mengambil nama di atas usaha saya ke hulu ke hilir macam orang gila nak shoot, maka akan berduyun2lah virus masuk dalam desktop/laptop/dan sewaktu dengannya dan ia tidak akan dapat diselamatkan, langsung muahaha *gelak jahat* (seriously)

Change Eye Color

Very simple and easy tutorial (++ fun). Can be used to apply makeups too!


Select the iris of the eye using the Polygonal Lasso Tool (L). Then go to Create new fill or adjustment layer at the bottom of the Layers palette, select Solid Color. Choose any color that you want. Change the Blending Mode to Color. And that's it! You can use the same steps to apply makeup but lower the Opacity. If you want to do the eyeliner, use Brush Tool (B) and apply Gaussian Blur (Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur).

Stunning Black & White

A very simple technique for a stunning black and white image.

1) Open your image. Then go to Create new fill or adjustment layer at the bottom of the Layers palette and select Channel Mixer. Tick the Monochrome box and use this settings below:

2) Next, go to Create new fill or adjustment layer again and select Gradient Map, click OK.

3) Copy the original layer by dragging it to the Create a new layer at the bottom of the palette. Change the Blending Mode to Soft Light and apply Gaussian Blur to your image (Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur).

4) Flatten your image (Layer > Flatten Image) - Save, and there you go.
